QuizTime Privacy Policy
This privacy policy (“Policy”) informs you of the policies of Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s Center for Advanced Mobile Healthcare Learning regarding the collection, use and disclosure of certain data and information when you register for, access or use the QuizTime platform (“Platform”).
By registering for, accessing or using the Platform, you agree to the collection and use of data information in accordance with this Policy, and you agree to receive communications regarding your use of the Platform via text, email and other forms of communication. Unless otherwise defined in this Policy, terms used in this Privacy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions.
Information Collection and Use
When you access the Platform, we may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to, the domain name from which you access the Internet, the IP address of your computer or device, the date and time you access our site, the type of computer or device you use, your device unique ID (if applicable), your operating system, the type of Internet browser you use and other statistics ("Log Data"). Additionally, we collect your email address, name, telephone numbers (which may include cellular numbers), NPI number, medical license information (state, number, etc.), DEA number, practice or other physical address, educational background and other credentials, specialty (if any), your organization and department (if applicable), the month and day of your birthday, and any responses that you provide in the course of using a Program (the “User Data” and together with the Log Data, the “Data”).
We collect Data for the purpose of improving the Platform and the programs offered through the Platform, and as needed to support the administration and operation of the Platform and those programs. We may share User Data with your organization or other sponsor of any program in which you participate, and with any third party for purposes of seeking or obtaining continuing education credit.
We will not share your User Data with advertisers or other third parties that are not directly involved in the provision of the Platform and related services.
Cookies
While accessing or using the Platform, you may encounter pages that use cookies. A cookie is a small data file that a website transfers to your computer’s hard disk that allows a server to recall information about your session while you’re connected. These cookies makes it easier for you to use some of the features of the Platform.
Service Providers
We may use third party services to collect, monitor and analyze Log Data, and to host or operate the Platform, in order to support and improve the Platform and related programs. We may also use third-party service providers to send and receive communications (including, without limitation, emails and text messages) to or from you in connection with the operation and administration of the Platform and related programs, and/or to facilitate seeking or obtaining continuing education credit. These third-party service providers have their own privacy policies addressing how they use data and information and this Policy does not necessarily apply to them.
Compliance with Laws
We may disclose Data where required to do so by law or subpoena or if we believe that such action is necessary to comply with the law and the reasonable requests of law enforcement or to protect the security or integrity of the Platform.
Security
The security of your information is important to us, and we strive to implement and maintain reasonable, commercially acceptable security procedures and practices appropriate to the nature of the information captured, in order to protect it from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. However, please be aware that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and that we are unable to guarantee the absolute security of the information or Data collected from you.
